Fixed width lumber that is a mix of cuttings grade pieces with no pith present

A general utility grade. Economically used for workshop and warehouse shelving, framing for upholstery furniture and fence palings

Fixed width lumber that has small tight knots present suitable for applications where additional visual character is required

Fixed width lumber with a range of defects present

Random width lumber that allows 70% recovery of 1” and wider clear rips, with limited wane
No 2 Shop
Random width lumber comparable to a No 2 Cuttings grade, with limited wane

Common
Random width, relatively lower clear recovery, commonly used for finger joint and remanufacturing
