In 1948, some “yellow” pine was brought into Brazil from USA, rapid growing species like Taeda pine and Elliot pine stand out, and widely planted in South and South east of Brazil.

Between Taeda pine and Elliot pine, Taeda pine has less resin, so it is more suitable for furniture manufacture. Taeda pine has better density and strength than Radiata pine, it is suitable for indoor furniture, sofa framing and construction manufacture.
